History:

Canon point: End of 3A
Personality:
Stiles fills many roles in the show to his friends, family and allies. Most obviously, by the fandom and the tv show’s attention to it, he is the research gopher. And yes, while he does indeed do a lot of initial research on Scott’s behalf when he doesn’t know what to do with all that werewolfing, that is not his sole purpose. He does not breeze through the show distributing advice and wise words. Despite his eagerness to do so, as seen in Season 1 when Scott asked him to help in lieu of Derek when Stiles responded happily with: “Your Yoda I will be!”, Stiles is still too much a child to fulfill this role in it’s entirety. We do see him, throughout each episode, learning how better to become this. He asks the questions that need asking, he voices his suspicions and advocates action based on his beliefs (often not to the benefit of everyone, but to the benefit of Scott).
Stiles is new to and wholeheartedly occupying a world filled with creatures that can utterly demolish him, people who are smarter than he is and more destructive. As such, he doesn’t have much to defend himself with. Of course he has Scott by his side and the collective badass of Allison on a good day, as well as Lydia’s smarts and intuition but more often than not lately, we’ve been seeing Stiles be faced with the need to rely on himself. As a human, he doesn’t have much in the ways of physical advantages over supernatural creatures - despite his attempts in 3A to bring a sturdy baseball bat over the back of an Alpha’s head, it completely shattered on impact. What he does have though, is cunning, and he abuses it in spades. It’s saved his life countless times. During the winter formal episode, he manages to not get eaten or bitten by Peter while attempting to save Lydia from him- even if he does get dragged around with Uncle Crazy - and comes out of it unscathed. When it is required of him, Stiles’ brains can often give him and his a leg up over the current enemy.
It should be noted that Stiles does canonically have ADD and takes medication to keep it under control, but his brain’s capacity to show off is never hampered by it. A good example of this would have to be the detailed history of male circumcision he wrote on an Economics test. Off-topic? Absolutely. But it impressed his teacher all the same, and actually got him a high mark back on it. In the parent-teacher conference of s1, Stiles is touted as being ‘incredibly bright’ but also ‘easily distracted’, while this is hardly surprising it goes to show that if Stiles is not 100% invested in learning something, he’ll let himself focus on other things as well. Unfortunately, he is also shown to canonically - either accidentally or purposefully - abuse his medication in order to help himself work harder or focus longer and while this has not resulted in negative effects yet, I cannot imagine that will last.
While Stiles does have a lot going for him, he is all too aware of his human status when being constantly compared to the supernatural characters around him. Many of his issues stem from being so average in that comparison. In one of the cliffhangers of Season 2, Stiles confesses to Scott that he feels useless and that he knows he can’t do the same things that Scott can. It really eats at him that he’s delegated to being the ‘Robin’ to Scott’s ‘Batman’ and he constantly asks to help and tries to weasel his way into assisting - originally just to prove he could but lately because he genuinely wants to help his allies. He wants so badly to be competent next to werewolves and everything else in the world that could easily tear him to shreds.
A single thing in Season 2 might allow him some advantage though, and that being the very thing that makes him weak in the crowd he runs with. His human nature allows him to handle mountain ash and other things that would otherwise poison a werewolf. In 2.08, when the main antagonist of the season needs to be trapped - Stiles is tasked with creating a perimeter around the building with mountain ash, known for its ability to repel the supernatural and also contain it. Stiles is given the cryptic message from Deaton beforehand that his will is a powerful thing and all he had to do was believe that it would work for the ash’s magical properties. As it turns out, Stiles didn’t have enough to complete the circle in reality so what does he do instead? He believes it will work with all his concentration and managed to complete the perimeter. Needless to say, he is thrilled to have done something concrete and useful in the real time - not to just be a walking resource for Scott when he had a question.
While Stiles is an incredible forward thinker and eager to be helpful, he is often showing off his disregard for consequences and callous, economical way of thinking. When Stiles and Scott are trying to figure out how Scott’s anchor works, Stiles sics a group of angry, older students on his best friend to see if he can control his temper enough as he’s getting beat up. He does this with a heart monitor app on a teacher’s phone he stole. Or ‘temporarily misappropriated’. When Derek’s intentions are less than what is desired from Stiles, he constantly advocates Derek’s death and for him to just go the hell away. His disinterest of thinking of the real-world consequences of his actions results in his father losing his position as sheriff due to Stiles stealing an armoured van to hold Jackson in all his kanima’y glory. He even goes so far as to use Jackson’s phone to text his parents and make it seem as if Jackson is completely fine. Of course, when he is caught, Stiles clings to the claim that they were just pulling a prank on him and avoids the truth at the cost of his father’s job and a restraining order being placed against him.
Stiles is one of the characters on Teen Wolf that is unapologetic in his manipulative ways. True, he feels guilt over what he does to those around him when he lies or twists the situation to work to his advantage. But he does it anyways. Repeatedly, and to various characters.
Concerning Lydia: when Derek was planning to kill her, Stiles and Allison worked together to lie and manipulate her, leading her all around the school, practically forcing her into the jeep and driving off without giving her any truthful answers. They lied about what was going on, until she was thoroughly spooked. Knowing the truth may have helped Lydia a lot, may have saved her a lot of pain and trauma, but Stiles intentionally kept her in the dark. This is the same girl he's had a fierce crush on since primary school, someone who he cares about intensely and would die for (as displayed in s1 when she was terribly injured by a werewolf, Stiles offered himself in exchange for Lydia's life saying "I don't care anymore") The two of them are cementing the foundation of a friendship as Lydia operated as Stiles anchor during his time in the ice bath of death.
Danny is another great example: he seems to think of Danny as a friend, and is quoted as saying "everyone likes Danny", but that didn't stop him from manipulating Danny into helping him by forcing Derek to change his shirt repeatedly to give him some eye-candy.
Of course Stiles loves his dad, he's the only family he has left. But there is nobody Stiles lies to more. Here is a person with authority who could potentially help them out, and Stiles hides just about everything from his dad, lying and manipulating him. He even encourages his father to go through a bottle of whiskey to get him to leak information about a case, Stiles only feels guilty about it when his father says he misses [ his wife] Stiles's mother.
When push comes to shove though, Stiles won’t hesitate to put himself on the line to keep people alive. An interesting instance of this can be found in the now legendary pool scene, where Derek - who has been at odds with Stiles - is paralyzed by the kanima’s venom and is pushed into the pool. Stiles, instead of taking the opportunity to get the hell out of dodge, jumps in after him and keeps him afloat for two hours until Scott comes to rescue them both. In Season 3, his tendency to put his life on the line for people he cares about is explored even more. From stepping into the puddle of gasoline that Scott, under the influence of poisonous wolfsbane, attempted to emulate himself with to take the lit flare out of his hands. Possibly the greatest and most damaging instances of his lack of self-preservation is in his surrogate sacrifice to keep his father from being used in a ritual by the Darach. This would not only risk him dying permanently, but if he lived, he would live with a permanent “darkness” around his heart. As seen in the promos and trailers for the second part of the season, this has a much more frightening effect on him than previously anticipated. His tendency to give little thought to the lives of other people appears to have been mostly replaced with this lack of self-preservation. Not to say he still won’t put other people in front of the bus, only that he will gladly step in front of it - if it means saving the life of someone he cares about.
Stiles is an amazingly loyal character: freely giving his own safety for his family and friends; but this loyalty is not freely given. It is definitely something to be earned, and that on it’s own is arbitrary enough, but once gained it is hard to get rid of. “He’s like a puppy. You can forget to feed him but he’ll still be happy to see you.”
Scott time and time again does things that could send most anyone else packing, but Stiles stays out of sake for his friendship and loyalty to Scott. Even when his friend decides to turn into a total douche on the full moon thanks to his IWS (Irritable Werewolf Syndrome), Stiles still remains by his side - despite the pain he evokes. However such steadfast loyalty has a reverse that is displayed on more than one occasion. When Jackson was in their custody and they were discussing what to do with him, Stiles never wavered from his position of killing Jackson and just being done with it. Jackson had never endeared himself to Stiles, was a constant bully to him and didn’t show any signs of changing or being interested in being less of an asshole, not only that but he was actually killing people - he was of no consequence to Stiles, therefore Stiles was not affected by the idea of his death.
The ego of Stiles is a fragile one, and in a teenage boy this is hardly surprising but his self-esteem issues are truly astounding. As the show progresses we’re exposed to more and more of Stiles’s raw nerves on his opinion of himself and how he feels about those surrounding him. This is something that is greatly delved into in 2.09 when Stiles suffers a wolfsbane induced hallucination of what is most likely his ‘worst fear’ and a great deal of it is self-projection. He is afraid his father does not want him, does not love him, and thinks he is stupid and nothing but a problem. He is afraid of the only other person in his life that cares about him leaving him (willingly or unwillingly). He also carries a deal of survivors guilt along with him for his mother’s death, believing that he either directly or indirectly was responsible for her death and ultimately - his father's unhappiness. This is why, when Scott finds a girlfriend in Allison, Stiles doesn’t know what to do with himself other than to do what he can to stay in Scott’s life.
Thanks to his own experiences with loss, Stiles is terrified of losing anyone else. When his mother died he started having panic attacks and experienced one very recently due to his father’s capture by the Darach. He doesn’t want to go through that kind of pain anymore and the prospect of being alone is one he’d rather not face. When Stiles gets drunk in the first season, he makes the comment: “as much as being broken up sucks, being alone is way worse.” Stiles already feels in the first season that Scott is leaving him and the second season’s hallucination scenes proves he fears the same for his father - that he’ll stop loving him because of his behavioral issues and the fact that he keeps screwing up ( in his own eyes.) Being attached to people comes at a price with that fear of abandonment.
Stiles is, of course, the token human and comic relief at first glance. Always armed with a witty - or not - comeback and some kind of attempt to get out of whatever mess his big mouth gets him into. But we find that there is a lot more to his character than jokes and slapstick humor, and it’s a fleshed out teenage boy going through some spectacular emotional issues in the midst of a supernatural war.
Powers/Special Abilities: None save his ability to handle mountain ash without being poisoned, but even this is questionable in that he ingested it and was exposed to the same fear-based hallucinations as the rest of his friends - werewolf or not.

Greatest Fear: Losing people; being alone. Not being worth enough to be loved. His anxieties about what people think of him illustrate his fears plainly. His mother’s death and his consequential guilt over it make him fear losing his father, Scott, Lydia. Stiles canonically has panic attacks due to his mother’s death and the potential of losing his father. This fear can manifest in many different ways: being abandoned out of anger or disappointment, or being the last alive; but it will always result in the same thing. Him being left alone. With the aftermath of the Nematon close at his heels, Stiles is becoming increasingly subject to what we only know is called the ‘darkness around his heart’. So far, we have seen his insecurities and fears regarding his father hating him, but it seems Stiles’ feeling that he is somehow responsible for his mothers death (we do not know the details of this in canon, unfortunately) have manifested in him fearing hurting someone else. His mind is increasingly fragile and he fears losing control of himself. Sleep paralysis and waking dreams are now a common theme for Stiles (as seen in the multiple trailers for 3b) and he is having trouble differentiating between reality and dreaming.
How is your character appropriate for this game? Disney Academy might be qualified as a vacation from Stiles’ home canon with all the ridiculousness of the past two seasons. He is more than equipped to deal with the supernatural aspects of the game, as well as the fear based themes of it. He will definitely react strongly to any kind of strangling attack, as he’s already incredibly susceptible to fear based hallucinations - even without the added weight of the Nemeton. High school, he is no stranger to either and while he won’t be excited to be forced to go to school still - he will do well. Stiles is canonically an A student and represented in all three seasons thus far as a distractible - but enthusiastic - student as well. He may not, however, excel in evading the instructors ire. Stiles is a consummate trouble maker, often making smart-remarks or stupid-remarks that irritate his teachers to the point of expulsion from the classroom. Sometimes, he uses this to the advantage of the moment like in Season 2 when he and Scott needed to be out of the Chemistry class ASAP, Stiles chucked balled up pieces of paper at the back of Mr. Harris (a man who already disliked Stiles) until he sent them away.

Oh my God, please don’t tell me this is going to start being a thing! Getting kidnapped. Not super fond of the whole Princess Toadstool repetition of this...
[The unconscious comparison allows him some distance from the immediate freakout. And he backtracks in a more detached, but still flustered tone.]
Not...that...I’m the prince -- okay point is! I don’t like getting kidnapped on a good day, alright?! Much less by a freaking mouse!
[Stiles sighs. He feels sick, and remembers - idly - that he didn’t have breakfast.]
Just. Someone tell me where I can find whoever the hell brought me here and where the food is. I’m starving.
Preferably in that order. Please and thank you.
[Theres a sound of air rushing and muffled taps, as if the communicator is handled weirdly. Stiles, absently, begins to speak again. To himself at first - and then to the communicator before shutting it off in an effort to keep himself from rambling.]
Micky fucking Mouse. Unbelieveable -- Wait can I say fucking? Is that allowed?

Stiles found the cafeteria with relative ease - not really difficult after he found himself a map of the campus - and is currently hunched over a tray of food. His eyes were bigger than his stomach however and there is a mountain of mashed potatoes, half a thick slice of meatloaf left, cornbread and peas that are completely untouched. The instant he started eating he could only start thinking about his father and how quickly he would notice Stiles’ was missing. Or would it take him a while? Stiles groaned and rested his forehead against the table’s edge. He had to stop thinking like that, like his father didn’t care about him. He knew, logically, it was bullshit. But the idea had years to grow and get to the point where he wondered if it was reality.
Stop it. Just stop. Think about something else.
He peeked over the edge of his tray, most of his vision obscured by the pile of food in front of him, and then he got an idea. Sadly, not one of his most horrible ideas, but it was amusing enough that he could lose himself in it for a good thirty minutes at least.
Taking up his spork, Stiles turned his tray this way and that - eyeing the potatoes as if they were a hunk of unrefined marble waiting for him to coax a David from it. He had a vision, damnit.
Several minutes of sculpting pass and Stiles is left with a series of rivets in the food. To anyone without an insight into his brain it would just appear to be something of a river system, but to him it was a set of tunnels he would dig. With a real spoon. Sporks were not designed for hard labor.
